2017 was an absolutely fabulous year for recently turned 15 year old Niamh. Following on from her nomination in 2016 at the Best of British Unsigned Music Awards for her song ” Can’t Stand this anymore” which achieved runner-up with public voting she also achieved “record of the week” on the BBC Introducing program. Niamh was invited to several local radio stations – BBC Radio York, Stray FM, Bradford Community Radio, Ribble FM and Drystone Radio in order to talk about her wonderful achievements and her future plans.
In the Autumn of 2016, Niamh commenced writing her new track ” Love Drug”.
Niamh was extremely excited to be invited backstage before and after a fantastic Jools Holland performance at the Harrogate International Centre and from this was offered support on her next track from Derek Nash (Saxophone) and Dave Swift (Bass) who are members of the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.
Niamh has recently been down to London to Clowns Pocket Studios to spend time working with Dave Swift (Bass) and Derek Nash (Sax) on her latest track ‘Love Drug’ which has just been released. Darby Todd (the Darkness) who has also played with Gary Moore (Thin Lizzy, Skid Row) & Alan Price (The Animals.) plays the Drums
Niamh also performed at the Grassington Festival among many other local festivals this year with bands such as Jools Holland Rhthym & Blues Orchestera , Bananarama & Newton Faulkner headlining.
She has also recently featured on BBC Radio York’s Live lounge Introducing for an hour and featured in their Christmas special.
